Brokerage
A domain broker to get the name someone else holds
Many good names sit unused, and many holders will sell. A cold email from a stranger rarely gets a reply. We make the approach for you, and we do not give the holder your name.
How it works
Four steps from first contact to transfer
Tell us the name
Tell us the name you want and your top price. We keep that figure private. We use it to plan the approach.
We find the holder
We read the registry record and the name's history, and we find a way to contact the holder. We do not give them your name.
We negotiate
We ask if the holder will sell, and at what price. We bring every offer back to you. You decide yes or no.
Transfer
The holder moves the name to your business through the registrar. We follow the transfer until it completes.
The fee: you pay only if the deal completes
Our broker fee is success-only. If the holder will not sell, or you say no to the price, you pay us no broker fee.
We agree the fee with you before we contact the holder. The price for the name itself comes from the negotiation.
Before you buy a .com.au name
A .com.au name has eligibility rules. The holder must be a commercial entity, and the name must Match its business or company name, an acronym of that name, its Australian trade mark, or the name of a service or goods that it sells (auDA Licensing Rules, rule 2.4.4).
A .au direct name, such as example.au, needs an Australian presence, for example an ABN (rule 2.4.3). We check the rules with you before a transfer starts.
- The name you want, or a short list of names.
- Your business name and ABN, for the eligibility check.
- Your top price. We keep it private.
- How soon you need the name.
This is not legal advice. We tell you what the auDA rules say and what the registry record shows.
